Fuller's have put the freehold of the Price of Wales in Hillingdon and the White Hart on Greenford Avenue on the market. The King's Head in Acton is also available on a free of tie lease, it is unknown if this pub is still owned by Fuller's (4 December)


A planning application to demolish the Chatsworth, formally the white Lion, needs objections before the 5 December (4 December)


Bar Italia has opened in Uxbridge in the former Electric Lounge originally the Falcon and was selling Purity Ubu and Broadside when it opened. They are promoting Pizza + Craft Beer. The barman said it was not food led. They say they may brew there own beer soon... (21 November)


The Old Fox in Ickenham has reopened and will soon be renamed back to the Fox And Geese (3 September)


Ther North Star reopened on the 28th August - the number of real ale pumps reduced to four (28 August)


The Village Inn has reopened after the redecoration, a Bull’s Head above the bar is having a mixed reaction. Regular beers are Pride and Tribute. Up to 3 guests are also available and include Black Sheep, Butcombe, Proper Job, Twickenham, and Fuller's seasonals (27 August)


The North Star and the Village Inn are closed for refurbishment. Both pubs are due to reopen late next week with an improved beer choice. (21 August)


The Red Lion and Pineapple has reduced the price of guest beers to £1.99 although beers over 5% will cost a little bit more. (28 June)


The Bell in Ruislip has reopened following a refurbishment. Now called Bell Inn, the establishment now offers B&B. Real ale is still GK IPA but a guest is also available, current Old Speckled Hen. (9 June)


The Prince Albert has closed "until further notice". (1 March)


A planning application to demolish the Norfolk Arms and build 9 flats was submitted to Brent Council in December. The decision has yet to be announced. (1 March)


The Star in Hilligdon has now been demolished. (1 March)


The Brushwood Inn will become a private house if a developer gets permission from Hillindon Council. The planning application is here. (9 February)


The Indian restaurant using the former Golden Cross in Hayes closes on 10 February. They will move to the unoccupied Jolly Waggoners on the Bath Road. A planning application has been made to demolish and replace with 21 flats. (9 February)


Fuller's have discountinued Discovery and pulled out of Cask Marque (2 February)


The Grove in Ealing is having a Rugby themed beer festival starting today. Meet Sharps Wednesday, Trumans Thursday. Ends Sunday. (29 Janaury)


McMullen has sold Baroosh to the 5 Guys Burger & Fries chain (29 Janaury)


Chiswick has replaced ESB at the Hare and Hounds in Osterley (11 Janaury)


Heston update: The Old George became the Yolo Lounge last year upsetting both real ale drinkers and Hounslow Council in the process, the later for breach of planning regulations. The former were given refuge in the Rose & Crown which has now reinstated a handpump and serves Directors. Also in Heston the Old Elm Tree appears closed (with a planning application to demolish being considered. The Royal British Legion has a sign outside claiming it sells real ale at club prices! Finally the Catholic Club sells Bombardier! (11 Janaury)

Ealing Park Tavern Re-opens

The Ealing Park Tavern reopened in December run by Pub/Restaurant chain ETM Group.

Queen's Head Crowned Pub of the Year

The Uxbridge pub was presented with the West Middlesex Branch Pub of the Year award. Manager Joao Almeida was also given a special award to promoting real ale whilst a third award was presented to acknowledge the improved range of beers. queens-head-uxbridge

Wetherspoon Buys Greenwood Hotel

The Grade II listed pub, closed since 2010, has been purchased by Wetherspoon for around £2 million. The pub now boasts 11 en-suite letting rooms in addition to the double height ballroom. The Northolt area has few pubs compared with the rest of Ealing so the reopening of the Greenwood will be most welcome. A planning application was submitted in October 2014 to make drastic changes to the Grade II listed building was refused by Ealing Council. A subsequent application is currently being considered.

Prince Albert Demolished

The pub was demolished in mid December having closed in February.

Greyhound Wembley to reopen?

The Wembley pub has been closed for a year. The owners, Star Pubs and Bars, website says the pubs has now been let subject to contract.

Letchford latest target for developers

The pub on Headstone Lane, which was closed following a license review in 2012, will be demolished and replaced with flats if developers have thier way. Visit the Harrow Council planning search page and enter P/3882/13 to view the application. Although it was turned down by the council, the developer has appealed to the planning inspectorate.

Rayners up for sale (again)

The freehold of the 1937 pub once owned by Truman's brewery is up for sale with an asking price of ñ.8 million. The pub is offered with 11 rooms upstairs and has been fully refurbished. It is being marketed for alternative use including restautant or banqueting.
