About this deal

Rich in minerals and vitamins, the banana is considered the world's most popular fruit, and a super food for its richness of potassium and natural sugars. I am all for it on one level, since I like delving into the abstruse and wallowing in details that leave most people I know colder than a penguin's butt in the middle of the Antarctic winter; but on another level, I want to stop these publishers before they bore again with books inadequately edited and organized. And how much financial and political power they have wielded in the United States and continue to wield.

But my favorite genre is the history micro-history, where a single event spiders out in all directions, often with interesting unintended consequences. The series is divided into green, blue and red bananas, all illustrated in full colour for contextual understanding. If you are as interested in bananas as I am, peel the book open, if you are not, this book will make you go bananas. With a catchy counting rhythm and a whole lot of silliness, this is a great way to help children learn to count to ten in a fun, accessible way. Other books may provide more intimate looks at the machinations of the big fruit companies, or American interventions in Central America.

And this is a shame, really, for it’s quotidian details as much as major events that shape our lives. Like, you can't individual choice your way out of a problem caused by companies so powerful that the United States government does what it can to please them. We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child. Yasmeen enjoys celebrating differences and giving her characters the confidence to be who they want to be, regardless of expectations. I’m a big fan of “commodity histories” -- books on how everyday objects and products have become interwoven into our daily lives.

I remember the first time I ever understood that the retelling of ordinary events could become magic. The book is a great reminder that even if we adopt civil behavior, niceties and small politeness cannot mask our animal motives and desires and will not save humanity from calamity and demise. A] visually striking allegory about the dismay and jealousy a child may feel over change — and this young protagonist’s triumph gives the tale a sense of dark, unexpected gratification. first third of the book is the banana as a plant; second third is the politics of the banana; last is the science of the plant. Tell me about a banana…’ provides you with up-to-date information, interview questions, answers and advice to help you answer all these questions and more.
