About this deal

I did enjoy this book because it is page-turningly easy and there is literally nothing difficult about the plot. As the situation becomes ever more complex, Clive finds himself embroiled in a dangerous intelligence operation with the woman he loves. Obituary: Phillip Whitehead: Television producer who made an effective second career as Labour MP and MEP".

But they too have eyes and ears, and proximity to power means they can pick up all sorts of intelligence.Harriet Crawley worked in Moscow for almost twenty years and uses her experience to great effect in this grown-up novel about grown-up characters living on the edge as they make life-and-death decisions. This is a brilliant political thriller that manages to highlight some thought-provoking issues and certainly makes the reader think. Clive is brought urgently back to work, to accompany a delegation to Moscow, headed by the Prime Minister. SEE the BACKSIDE OF the PHOTO - many times the image for sale will present stamps, dates, and other publication details - these marks attest to and increase the value of the press photos.

I didn’t review it right away bc I was stressed about being the first review, so I forget many things. I had been married to a Russian, sent my son to a state school, and later I spent ten years working in the energy sector in Moscow. He was descended from the younger brother of Sir Thomas Crawley-Boevey, 2nd Baronet (1744-1818), who inherited 1789 by special remainder as husband of the granddaughter of the first Baronet's brother, a rare remainder.

He married Harriet Crawley, daughter of Aidan Merivale Crawley and Harriet Virginia Spencer Cowles, circa 2001. Marina stuns Clive with the news that she’s ready to help stop the attack, betraying her country for a new identity and a new life…. A genre-bending story that sustains the difficult balancing act of melding a love story with a tale of espionage in the process shedding light on what is happening in Russia today. He was an MP and the son of successful business owners who have a grand townhouse in Bath and a weekend place in Gloucestershire. The weather is threatening and an unfeasibly large number of the characters are harbouring secrets, guilt, hatred and vengeful thoughts.Alas, the beautiful view from his study to the church on the hill and the graveyard where he is buried has now been obliterated by a housing estate for the rich. Clive Franklin is a Russian language expert for the Foreign Office (UK) and he is on a sabbatical in the Highlands. I haven’t read anything else by Harriet Crawley, but based on this I would read more of her novels, and if you enjoy a good spy thriller I can definitely recommend this one!
