About this deal

You can use the anti-condensation paints on surfaces that carry a little bit of damp or humidity in different forms like water vapors. It works effectively in humid areas or the basement. But you can’t apply it on the surface from where the river is flowing and expect that it eliminates that water because it is just a coating, not magic. Texture of Paint The 50ml pot will turn 2.5L of paint into a anti-mould coating that once applied helps to prevent the growth of mould.

The formula should be mixed thoroughly to ensure that the paint is completely protected. Since we used this over two years we have had no signs of mould appearing on the bathroom ceiling. This bathroom specific paint is not only useful in a practical sense of preventing mould and damp, it also gives you an elegant finish that’s tough to match with typical anti condensation paints. This of course saves you the time and effort of having to go over it with a different emulsion. The coverage is slightly higher than Ronseal at 8 – 10m²/L but this is because it’s thinner and thus not as effective at insulating. While it’s not on Ronseal’s level for insulation it still does a better job than most however. Defective paint will never come out like this so if your walls look similar, it’s very likely you have a condensation problem. Summary Dryzone are one of the top brands when it comes to damp protection so if trusted quality is at the top of your list, they might be a good choice for you.

Regular Updates: Our recommendations stay current with any changes in product performance or availability. Of course, it makes a lot of sense to look at the environmental factors within your home to see if there are things you can do to stop mould in the first place. There are major kinds of paints manufactured: Oil paints, and Latex paints. The oil-based paints are formulated with natural or synthetic oils. These paints are the most durable and used by the people who planned to not paint their homes often. These paints are also effective against mold growth and condensation. However, the oil paint takes more time to dry and stains of oil paint cannot be removed easily so you need a thinner, spirit, or turpentine for this purpose.

Unlike most other paints on our list, Dulux has the advantage of providing a lovely soft sheen finish that doesn’t need to be painted over once set. The cool neutral range of colours means you can choose any colour from White Mist to Slate Grey, leaving your bathroom with a modern chic look. Anti mould paint is more an inhibitor than a straight up fungicide so if you were thinking about painting over mould with anti mould paint, we’d advise against it. Another property that is linked to the better texture is the ease of applying the paint. A product with a rough texture is difficult to apply with rollers or even brushes because it will get dripping along the surface. So you must go for an option which has the best texture and is user friendly. Color of Paint To understand how anti condensation paint works, you must first know what condensation is and how it forms. How is condensation formed?

Ronseal isn’t the cheapest anti condensation paint on the market but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. If you want to prevent damp and mould growth, this is the paint for you. Add 100 ml of Dryzone® ACS Mould Eradication Additive to 5 Litres. Blend the additive liquid until fully dispersed, for at least 1 minute.
