About this deal

The Episcopalians tried a much more unique path by setting out pans of whiskey around their church in an effort to kill the squirrels with alcohol poisoning. They sadly learned how much damage a band of drunk squirrels can do. Sunday School Lesson “Jesus Heals the Man Born Blind” from John 9:1-42 These Sunday School Lessons are based on the passage in John 9 where Jesus heals the man born blind. For this week’s Sunday School lesson, we’ve included everything you need to teach. There are several options for this week’s lesson,... For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God." (1 Peter 1:18-19, NLT) With a tear in his eye the priest gave Murphy a big smile & said; “After I talked about ‘Thou Shalt Not Steal' ya decided you would rather do without your hat than burn in Hell?” On Monday evening Jesus stayed in Bethany again, probably in the home of his friends, Mary, Martha, and Lazarus.

After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead. He was going up to Jerusalem. He approached Bethphage and Bethany. The hill there was called the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent out two of his disciples. He said to them, “Go to the village ahead of you. As soon as you get there, you will find a donkey’s colt tied up. No one has ever ridden it. Untie it and bring it here. Someone may ask you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ If so, say, ‘The Lord needs it.'” Those who were sent ahead went and found the young donkey. It was there just as Jesus had told them. They were untying the colt when its owners came. The owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.” Then the disciples brought the colt to Jesus. They threw their coats on the young donkey and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their coats on the road. Jesus came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives. There the whole crowd of disciples began to praise God with joy. In loud voices they praised him for all the miracles they had seen. They shouted, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Psalm 118:26) “May there be peace and glory in the highest heaven!” Some of the Pharisees in the crowd spoke to Jesus. “Teacher,” they said, “tell your disciples to stop!”“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” The priest said, “Well, Murphy, I notice that ya didn't steal McGlynn's hat. What changed your mind?”The Parable of the Vineyard Tenants (Matthew 21:33-46) Sunday School Lessons & Activities for Kids The Parable of the Tenants is a seemingly strange one, and can be challenging in terms of how we convey it to younger children. Even to the original hearers, this might have sounded like an odd story. Why would the... Jesus spoke seven final statements from the cross. His first words were, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34, NIV). His last wordswere, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." (Luke 23:46, NIV)

The following morning, Jesus returned with his disciples to Jerusalem. Along the way, hecursed a fig tree because it had failed to bear fruit. Some scholars believe this cursing of the fig tree represented God's judgment on the spiritually dead religious leaders of Israel. Others believe the symbolism extended to all believers, demonstrating that genuine faith is more than just outward religiosity; true, living faith must bear spiritual fruit in a person's life. Terri asked her Sunday School class to draw pictures of their favorite bible stories. She was puzzled by Kyle's picture, which showed four people on an airplane. So, she asked him which story it was meant to represent.

Easter eggs

Sunday lunch? Invariably a roast of some sort with Yorkshire puddings and a glass of wine. A classic English lunch. My wife and I don’t cook it, we have help. We eat at 1.15pm and quite frequently have guests. We see a lot of our children and our nine grandchildren, – it could be them or it could be friends from the worlds of gardening or politics. I have a glass of wine at lunch and two glasses of wine at dinner every day Personally, I like the character and detail in them and the fact they were hand made and have history. I also love how timeless they are.
